We have an opportunity for an Engineering Technician I to be part of the critical elements of the project's lifecycle. This opportunity will allow you to become a resources and domain expert in the area of as-built and record drawing management. As a member of our team, you will ensure that all current conditions, field changes, construction modifications, shop drawing changes, etc. are collected and flow through the design and documentation procedures. You will also perform site visits, quality assurance process, and develop new process improvements.

You will be trusted to:

- Files drawings and drawing update documentation according to standard procedures.
- Assists in drafting documents using established procedures, formats and templates to support procurement and contract activities.
- Assists with field and/or office research related to field measurements, historical engineering drawings, equipment databases, microfilm, inventory, electronic document management system (EDMS) records and other technical records to design equipment and layouts, as well as to produce equipment ratings and facility statistics. Field research may involve various physical activities.
- Updates and maintains physical file rooms.
- Performs data entry in the departmental engineering database.
- Operates equipment, such as plotters, printers, copiers and scanners.
- Captures engineering information by traveling independently to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.) as necessary.

You qualify with:

- One or more years of experience interpreting technical drawings/documents and performing technical analysis, drafting using computer-aided design software or other relevant experience.
- A degree in computer-aided design or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license if traveling independently to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.)
