Job Description

LCRA is looking for a Manager to lead the Water Conservation Program. As part of LCRA's water team, your expertise in conservation and customer relations will contribute to the mission of protecting and preserving water in the Colorado River and the Highland Lakes.

As the manager of this team, you will oversee water conservation and drought contingency plans, agricultural water savings programs, drought response programs, domestic use contracts on the Highland Lakes, and work closely with the contract manager to maximize customer water savings. All of these efforts are outward facing and require you to work closely with our customers. Our mission is to improve the lives of Central Texas and our teams are dedicated to service with safety focus as top priority!

You will be trusted to:

  • Enhances and implements the LCRA Water Conservation Program
  • Identifies and explores innovative practices to reduce water usage and benefit our customers including the pursuit of grants and alternative funding strategies
  • Develops the LCRA Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plans and obtains state agency approval
  • Manages the House Bill 1437 agricultural water savings program

You qualify with:

  • Twelve or more years of experience in water program planning and implementation, water conservation, or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in business, planning, social science, environmental management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license
