The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is looking for a Manager, Project Management to join the Transmission Project Management Office. Your team will lead various types of projects, including transmission line and substation projects. You will be trusted to:

  • Hire, train, assign work, evaluate, and handle all other aspects of staff supervision.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff and other team members.
  • Develop strategic and operating plans, goals, objectives, priorities, and procedures that are in alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of LCRA.
  • Manage the processes vital to develop project timeline and manage the scope, schedule and budgets of the capital portfolio.
  • Serve as a subject matter authority and point of contact as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of department issues and respond to employee needs and concerns. Connect with employees to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.
  • Provide recommendations on project assignments based on project constraints and portfolio considerations.

You qualify with:

  • Twelve or more years of experience in project controls, project management, work package management, or other relevant experience, including four or more years managing projects (including managing scope, schedule and budget). A degree(s) in project management, business, finance, economics, engineering, construction management, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license

  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined project management group
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar projects
  • Experience working in the electric utility industry
