Now Hiring Human Resources Coordinator

ICON is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support People team operations, employees, and managers across the organization. In this role, you'll continue to build your human resources expertise through owning tasks and initiatives related to employee relations, benefits and leaves of absence, performance management, and payroll. This role will sit within the Total Rewards function of ICON's people team and work closely with the Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) teams. Our ideal candidate is ready to leverage their transferrable experience and drive to develop their expertise to provide an exceptional employee experience. This role is based on ICON's Austin, TX campus and reports to the Director of Total Rewards and People Programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with company policies, and state and federal regulations.
  • Support employee relations matters as needed.
  • Manage leave cases in Workday including coordinating leave certifications, medical documentation, and related paperwork while maintaining employee privacy and confidentiality.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant leave laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, performing research as necessary to advise the Payroll team on state-mandated leave programs requiring registration.
  • Work with managers to develop appropriate accommodation plans and facilitate the interactive process for leave with accommodations.
  • Partner with employees, supervisors, and insurance carriers to handle workers' compensation cases promptly and efficiently.
  • Review timecards for non-exempt employees weekly, ensuring compliance with timekeeping procedures and investigating discrepancies.
  • Support the Total Rewards and HR teams through key initiatives such as performance reviews, open enrollment, and merit compensation cycles.
  • Support ad hoc People team initiatives and processes as assigned.
  • Assist with various onboarding and People Operations tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some prior experience in an HR-focused role or internship in combination with a relevant bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience without a relevant bachelor's degree.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex HR topics to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience using Workday or a similar HCM platform to perform end-to-end case management will be an asset in this role.
