EUROIMMUN US is seeking an Associate Scientific Affairs Liaison. This individual will hold a doctoral degree and have excellent scientific knowledge with a proven research background to promote the scientific rationale behind EUROIMMUN products, to healthcare professionals, scientific leaders, and key decision-makers. Our team is expanding, and we're seeking an Associate Scientific Affairs Liaison to significantly contribute to our scientific communications, research collaborations, and scientific marketing initiatives. This role is integral to our mission of advancing healthcare through groundbreaking research in areas such as Autoimmunity, Infectious Diseases, and Allergy. A successful candidate will be scientifically skilled & warrant appropriate dissemination of clinical & scientific information to customers and internal stakeholders

Essential Functions:

  • Scientific Writing: Drafting and writing peer-reviewed publications, especially meta-analyses. Additionally, create scientific content (written and recorded versions) for the scientific blog "CogniScience", external magazines, abstracts for tradeshows, and white paper materials for the commercial teams

  • Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Mapping: Responsible for identifying, mapping, and contacting KOLs.

  • Research Collaborations Support:Assist senior liaisons in managing and supporting ongoing and new research collaborations. This includes the creation of study protocol, review of research contracts, validation plans, management of study data, drafting of final study outcomes, and publishing outcomes in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Scientific Marketing: Identify speakers for educational webinar series and collaborate with marketing to create scientific resources for webinars (e-blasts, flyers, posters, presentations, etc.).

  • Market Analysis: Support senior liaisons on market analysis for various EUROIMMUN assays in the field of Autoimmunity, Infectious Diseases, and Allergy, in the United States. Help with monitoring competitor activities, product updates, and industry trends. Create insightful SWOT reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Scientific Updates: Provide periodic scientific updates to the team by monitoring the scientific literature for new developments, emerging trends, diagnostic algorithms, health alerts, etc.

  • Presentation Organization and Formatting: Support in the organization and formatting of presentations for internal meetings, conferences, and client engagements. Ensure presentations are visually appealing, and concise, and effectively communicate key messages. Collaborate with team members to integrate data, graphics, and other relevant content into presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in life or natural science discipline

  • Minimum of 1 published peer-reviewed research article or white paper

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience working as a medical scientific liaison in an IVD company or 2 years of relevant work experience such as clinical, research, fellowship, or pharmaceutical work experience.

  • Pharm D or master's degree holders with the below relevant industry experience in IVD/medical devices may be considered for the position

  • Expertise in data analysis with proficiency in statistical software, capable of translating complex datasets into actionable scientific insights.

  • Prior experience in scientific or medical writing, management of clinical studies, and development of appropriate medical device validation protocols

  • Preferred research experiences within an academic or commercial lab in areas such as autoimmunity, infection, allergy, or neurodegeneration

  • Creating and managing scientific content for a website

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

  • Ability to determine the appropriate course of action in more complex situations.

  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude

  • Ability to complete work assignments accurately and on time.

  • Ability to support travel of 30% which includes overnight travel, including some weekend commitments during deadlines.

  • Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings/congresses/headquarters

  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
