We are seeking an energetic and talented professional to join our growing team as a Lead Accountant. This position plays an essential role in our global accounting close process. The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player with a solid working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and operational accounting execution. Additionally, this individual thrives on process improvement and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close processes which includes reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and leases
  • Own accounting activities for internal-use software, commissions, payroll, and investments
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls
  • Work cross-functionally with teams including, Engineering, Workplace, Finance, and Legal to support areas of responsibility
  • Provide a high level of customer service with finance and non-finance business partners by providing financial insights and relevant reporting
  • Prepare and review schedules to support the 10Q and 10K financial reporting process
  • Review and explain balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses
  • Work directly with our internal and external audit teams to support the audit by providing supporting audit schedules, evidence, and process overview
  • Evaluate processes and systems for areas of responsibility and implement process improvements
  • Participate in ad hoc projects

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA with 5+ years' combined experience in corporate and public accounting; industry experience at a technology company is a plus (Big 4 experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency using NetSuite and system savvy
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting an annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Self-starter, excellent problem solver, flexible, resourceful, process driven with a high degree of integrity and work ethic
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment

The anticipated starting base pay range for this role is listed below. Base salary is not the only component of our competitive total rewards package - you may also be eligible for bonus, commissions, equity, and other benefits as described below. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
