Job Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface field-based activities, and other duties required to execute projects, construction management, and project management ventures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Project Manager with the pre-construction process, project budgets, reviewing required work with subcontractors, and preplanning operational activities.
  • Assists the Project Manager by reviewing scopes of work.
  • Adheres to quality standards within company requirements and Industry codes and standards to include but not limited to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, NACE, IBC & NEC.
  • Assists the Project Manager in building and maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, project team, and subcontractors.
  • Communicates regularly with all involved parties regarding project plans, status of the project, upcoming activities, and open issues.
  • Assists the Project Manager with setting up initial budgets by tabulating each required scope of work and inputting into required project management and accounting systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Energy Services Construction.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings.
  • Willing/able to travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or applicable relevant experience.

Required Experience:

  • 1 + years construction experience.

Work environment/Physical demands:

  • The position requires work in an office environment. However, while performing the day-to-day duties of this job, the associate may work in outside weather conditions. The associate frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The associate occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposes to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
