Position Title: Senior Communications Specialist (temporary to permanent)
Location: Houston, Texas
Eligibility for Remote: Yes, hybrid


What The Role Is

The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for drafting and distributing content for
internal audiences that supports the company culture and strategy. The ideal candidate is
highly skilled in writing and editing, experienced in creating engaging content and can work
closely with internal subject matter experts to create and carry out effective communication
strategies and key messages. Additionally, the Senior Communications Specialist will assist with
maintaining key internal communication channels and evaluating the success of campaigns to
ensure maximum impact and engagement among internal stakeholders.

How You will Make an Impact


* Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing internal communications strategies that
engage, inspire and connect teammates with the company's culture and strategy.
* Serve as a communication consultant and strategist, working with stakeholders to assess
communication needs, determine key messages/themes, timing and delivery, and tailor
communications for specific audiences. Expected to make recommendations to improve the
effectiveness of communications.
* Write and edit inspiring, clear and concise copy, and produce stories, videos and graphics to
support internal partners across the organization. Interview subject matter experts, leaders and
teammates to highlight major business initiatives and connect the dots to Cadence's culture and
strategy.
* Participate in the editorial planning process, helping to maintain a timely, steady stream of
content that meets the needs of internal stakeholders.
* Build and create awareness for Cadence's culture, and develop internal programs and
communications that highlight individual and team contributions to shaping it.
* Support company-wide events, such as quarterly all teammate webinars and other corporate
events managed and supported by Corporate Communications.


* Collaborate closely with the external communications team to ensure alignment with business
and communications objectives and leverage opportunities to share content.
* Work with the Communications Channel Manager to track/analyze key performance metrics to
measure and improve upon the effectiveness of the internal communications strategy.

Who You Are
* Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related discipline
* Minimum 7-10 years of relevant communications experience required; experience driving
internal communications strategy preferred
* Demonstrated ability to create compelling content that engages, educates and moves partners
to action; samples will be requested
* Experience developing and delivering communications in a fast-paced, highly dynamic
environment
* Ability to excel at boiling down complex concepts for all to understand
* A fast learner who can quickly absorb core messages and weave them in seamlessly
* Able to build trusted relationships with team and multidisciplinary partners at all levels across
the company
* Diplomatic in resolving problems and in counseling leaders
* Effective, independent decision-making ability
* Exceptional interpersonal skills; a team player with a service mindset
* Some experience in graphic design, layout and video editing
* AP Style proficiency preferred
