Job Description

Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Supply Technician Lead on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX. This position is full-time but temporary. Anticipated period of performance ending 31 January 2025


Position Responsibilities:

  • This position is a working lead and the key assistant to the UME Supervisor with delegated lead person authority to control and oversee other Supply Technicians in the assigning, monitoring and performance of their daily assigned tasks.
  • Assists managing the ORILSs; ensures recoverable repair parts are returned to the Supply Support Activity (SSA) for proper credit.
  • Conducts research on repair parts (material) not received by its estimated ship date (ESD).
  • Ensures all local purchase requests are processed accordingly.
  • Ensure material(s) are picked up from the supporting SSA and placed in appropriate stock locations (SLoc) daily.
  • Correct error and exception documents.
  • Direct and coordinate the location survey for the quarterly 100% Inventory; completes Inventory Adjustment Report (IAR) and other supporting documentations upon completion.
  • Unloads, unpacks, visually inspects, counts, segregates, palletizes, and stores incoming supplies and equipment as required.
  • Constructs fiberboard or wooden containers to store or ship repair parts as required.
  • Packs, crates, stencils, weighs, and bands equipment and supplies as required.
  • Process Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs); ensures PQDR exhibits identified as a return shipment is returned to the appropriate vendor and track such materials until resolved.
  • Provide training to subordinates as applicable.
  • Operates materiel handling equipment (MHE) as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be GCSS-Army trained and/or certified with a minimum of 2 year hands-on experience with GCSS-Army; the ability to provide information, data and reports using GCSS-Army is required.
  • One years' experience managing Shop Stock in an Army/Department of Defense (DoD) Maintenance Facility.
  • Must be knowledgeable with AESIP-Army Enterprise Portal.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access)
  • Must be familiar with the use of military Technical Manuals (TMs).
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident for more than 3 years for CAC/ NACI eligibility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum two continuous hours.
  • Be able to pick up and move items within a 49-lb restriction.
  • Must be able to function with an intermediate level of English oral and written language skills.
  • Capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Able to work past normal hours as mission dictates.
