Job Description

Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position ofModernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) Maintenance Supervisor on a Government contract with a place of performance atFort Bliss, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides supervision for contracted employees assigned to and in support of MDRS maintenance operations servicing and repairing various types of equipment in order to expedite displacement for redistribution/divesture. Position requires a comprehensive knowledge and daily operation of Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A). Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Providing maintenance management/supervising field and sustainment level maintenance on U.S. military communication and electronics equipment, military power generation equipment, military weapons, military vehicles, their associated trailers and material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Maintenance management includes overseeing inspections, services and repairs on equipment such as but not limited to: M4, M249, M240B Machine Guns. AN/PVS Night Vision Devices, AN/PYQ-10 Cryptic Transfer Units, AN/UDR-13 Radiac Set, RT-153F Receiver Transmitter Radio, M150 Sight Bore Optics, PAS-13CV2, PVS14 Mono Night Vision, MSD-V3 Test Set, Electronic System, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs), Palletized Load Systems (PLSs), Light Medium Tactical Vehicles (LMTVs) and Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTVs).
  • Ensures equipment is inspected, serviced and/or repaired IAW applicable Technical Manuals.
  • Conducts research on repair parts (materials) not received by its estimated ship date (ESD).
  • Reconcile activity records for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports extracted from GCSS-Army.
  • Ensures accurate and timely reports are provided, attends scheduled and unscheduled meeting and briefings.
  • Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reporting, to include approval of leave request and timesheet reviews and approvals.
  • Screen applicants and conducts interviews to fill open position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the maintenance requirements on the equipment listed.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing maintenance operations, specifically Army Maintenance.
  • A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with GCSS-Army is a prerequisite; the ability to provide information, data and reports using GCSS-Army is required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Electronic Maintenance System - Next Generation (EMS-NG)
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of AESIP and Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC) applications.
  • Must have knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 24071 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, DA Form 461-5 Vehicle Classification Inspection, and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident for more than 3 years for CAC/ NACI eligibility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. As well as stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Be able to pick up and move items within a 49-lb restriction.
  • Be capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground limit.
  • Be capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to work in a team environment or alone, including working in hot, dusty, windy areas for prolong time periods.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous soldier with Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 915A Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer or 91X Maintenance Supervisor.
