Salary Range: $45,028 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Job Summary

To provide specialized skills and knowledge to assist in the development and implementation of fundraising programs. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating development programs within selected donor constituencies.

UTSA Athletics and the Office of Development seek a proactive and results-driven individual, to provide specialized skills and knowledge to assist in the development and implementation of fundraising programs. This role reports to the Associate Athletic Director of Development and is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating development programs within selected donor constituencies. Specific duties will include:

Core Responsibilities
  1. Assesses, qualifies, and determines next steps for 230 major gift prospects annually; makes three touch points for each potential donor, with all non-engaged prospects moved to a weekly disqualification report to the Prospect Management & Research team.
  2. Completes contact reports and assists with other gift officer contact reports; assists other gift officers with re-engagement or discovery outreach as needed.
  3. Supports with pipeline increases for annual funds.
  4. Assists with the process of any new prospects added to portfolios, i.e. new season ticket holders with capacity identified through the Data & Strategic Analytics Team.
  5. Supports with building or requesting any spreadsheets or lists of donors necessary for cultivation opportunities.
  6. Responsible for donor travel coordination; maintains away game travel spreadsheet; updates donor travel and shares with football operations; schedules restaurants and other entertainment accommodations; coordinates and distributes donor itineraries.
  7. Coordinates home game suite invitations; maintains home game suite attendee spreadsheet; updates campus invitations list online through Basecamp; sends attendees a welcome email and allocates tickets, hospitality passes, and parking.
  8. Manages and shares AD gameday itinerary by coordinating with external relations staff.
  9. Attends weekly campus meetings regarding football game invitation strategy; coordinates donor briefs with prospect management team; coordinates post-season and bowl VIP lists with VPAAE & President's Office.
  10. Manages Letterwinners Club solicitations and renewals; coordinates advisory board meetings; distributes membership letters, stickers, and t-shirts; implements renewal email appeals and personal phone calls; supports annual homecoming activities for former student-athletes and sports reunion planning; table at student-athlete graduation events for membership acquisition.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Additional education/experience may substitute for experience/education on a one for one basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer and standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in collegiate or professional athletics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of development information systems.
