Job Title: Sr. Technical Program Manager

Working with the Sr Manager - Program Management of the Digital Engineering and Manufacturing business unit within Enterprise Technology, you will ensure that cross capability programs are supported with program management office leaders from your team and cross functional partners across Blue Origin. As this Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will join development managers, product managers, solution architects, Mission leads, and others in support of all aspects of program execution for internal manufacturing software and its underlying capabilities, from development through production supporting rate manufacturing. You will work to ensure smooth program and project execution, increase transparency and communication standards, reconcile process standards, execute action items, unblock and escalate when needed, and will attend to emergent issues across the program and aligning to the company's goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain program management processes including estimating new work, risk management, change management, planning & scheduling, communications, Organizational Change Management (OCM), and resourcing for all scope.

  • Collaborate with systems, architecture, hardware, software, teams on ensuring cross-functional deliverables are identified and tracked

  • Drive engineering project execution, develop project plans, make technical trade-offs, manage risks, track, and report on status, and resolve blocking issues

  • Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions to cost, performance, and schedule requirements.

  • Routine customer-obsessed collaboration and communication with design engineers, project managers, schedule planners, supply chain managers, and business leaders.

  • Develop and present content for senior executive reviews, potentially including weekly business reviews (WBRs) and program management reviews (PMRs).

  • Deep understanding of product value chain to inform both simple and creative schedule mitigation plans.

  • Partner with Operations Strategy to assess/drive production rate increase readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in business, management, engineering or equivalent

  • Firsthand experience leading technical projects and programs within an industrial automation tech stack

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in program management in aerospace or similar manufacturing environment

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer, and supplier activities.

  • Highly organized leader with demonstrated track record of resourcefulness, strong business acumen, and bias for action.

  • Robust background in Data Driven Metrics and Automation

  • Skilled in driving performance through real world understanding as well as data analytics

  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive and professional relationships

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • PMP and/or PgMP preferred

  • Experience leading dynamic (e.g., growing, evolving) organizations, including planning, budget, schedule, quality, deliverables, reporting, staff, facilities, and interfaces
