Job Description

The systems process engineer provides the business knowledge and technical skills to develop and implement applications and processes that enhance the ability of the organization to achieve business objectives.The systems process engineer will be accountable for coordination and management of plant systems from an approach of people and process. Accountabilities include training and change management, reporting, SQL database, MES configuration, and SPC concepts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Demonstrated strong process development background
* Working knowledge of ODBC, MSSQL and MYSQL
* Ability to write advanced queries, events, and triggers
* Versed in programming languages, and utilities such as: Object Oriented PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Linux Bash/Shell, Git. Additional use and knowledge of MVC, iOS Objective-C, Ruby, and Java
* Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities
* Works well individually or in a group setting
* Effectively leads employees indirectly
* Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
* Successfully presents technical information

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing
* Provide the leadership and coaching to the site to build systems competencies in the plant.
* Provide training and advanced troubleshooting to the site.
* Work closely with appropriate plant resources to define new, more efficient processes and system capabilities for the plant.
* Oversees all transitions into production
* Develop and complete actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines
* Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution
* Manage and document system configurations
* Analyze user's needs
* Convert instructions into computer languages

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain operations with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Other Preferred Skills:
* Deep knowledge of manufacturing operations and core processes
* Ability to configure and work with various databases exchanging information through the network systems and control systems in manufacturing departments.
* Understanding of:

  • Plant Floor Control System Concepts
  • Statistical Process Control Concepts
  • Planned Maintenance Concepts
  • Materials Analysis (TPY, scrap/quality analysis)
  • Plant Metrics
  • Reporting Requirements
  • ODBC, MSSQL and MYSQL
  • Programming languages and utilities such as: Object Oriented PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Linux Bash/Shell, Git. Additional use and knowledge of MVC, iOS Objective-C, Ruby, and Java
