Join our winning team as an Billing and Cash Application SAP Specialist in Katy, TX.Additional locations may includeClayton, MO, Charleston, TN, Cleveland, TN or McIntosh, AL. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on Billing and Cash Application within SAP. You will provide day-to-day guidance on process and SAP technical support to team across the organization such as sales, tax department, customer service or transportation management. This position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Billing and Cash Application SAP SpecialistEssential Job Functions:

• Provide day-to-day guidance to a team of outsourced billing and cash application support resources.
• Conduct root cause analysis, monitoring and clearing billing blocks and cash application queries/unapplied cash.
• Escalation and follow up during month end close process to facilitate all blocks being resolved prior to the month end period closing.
• Provide guidance to other departments (customer service, sales, billing, tax, pricing, etc.) to identify and address billing and cash application issues impacting the timely collection of accounts receivables.
• Review and approve billing revisions in accordance with the established procedures.
• Recommend system process improvements and efficiencies as well assist with testing new functionality.
• Review and maintain documentation of billing and cash application desktop procedures, provides documentation and support to internal and external auditors as needed.

• Bachelor's degree*; Accounting, Information Technology or related degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years related experience in SAP system in the order management modules, including billing, invoice distribution and cash application modules.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting transactions and financial statement implications related to direct and intercompany billing and cash application, including international tax concepts such as VAT.
• Ability to bridge the IT and business and accounting processes.
• Knowledge of electronic bank statements, direct debit, IDOC, EDI and/or other integration with banks.
• Experience with supporting global operations with locations such as Europe, China, Brazil, and Mexico preferred.
• Experience with third-party tax engines and SAP tax integration (OneSource) preferred.
• Supervisory and/or project management experience preferred.
• Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
