Position Summary

Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for auditing processes and equipment used to produce finished goods at the Beaumont Client Site, a facility that manufactures and markets rubber-related chemicals for various applications. Furthermore, the technicians will be familiar with all aspects of safety and quality, as well as ensure a positive working relationship with associates, in all areas of production, that promotes collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Work with Process Operators, Technicians, Managers and Leadership Team to minimize sources of product contamination and known defects.

Calibrate equipment used to evaluate product quality.

Maintaining accurate quality records and log sheets.

Perform thorough inspections of boxes, code strip, film types, shipments, etc.

Carefully monitor Shipping and Finishing Building performance and equipment cleanliness.

Perform in-depth process and product inspections to ensure conformance to specifications.

Participate in audits (both internal and external) as needed to ensure compliance.

Gather, record, and analyze data and report findings.

Initiate corrective actions regarding product defects.

Analyze and follow-up on off-spec and in-process material and initiate corrective action plans.

Abide by standard work procedures and job safety standards, including wearing required PPE in production areas.

Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights and/or confined spaces when applicable.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Understand and follow all instructions, both orally and in writing.

Adhere to client's attendance policy, with the possibility of overtime coverage when necessary.

Qualifications

Experience in auditing processes with equipment used to produce finished goods.

Must be familiar with all aspects of safety and quality.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Must ensure a positive working relationship with associates in all areas of production.

Experience Calibrating equipment.

Ability to understand and follow all instructions, both orally and written.
