Responsibilities

The US Oncology Network, is seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team.

As a Learning & Development Specialist:

  • Works with new technology and is engaged with L&D tech trends and best practices
  • Works on individual and team projects, owns and solves problems, partnering to design and implement new processes
  • Identifies performance gaps and determines the cause in order to recommend the most appropriate learning solutions
  • Is highly engaged with the team and confident working autonomously
  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Agile and adaptive with the ability to work through ambiguity, prioritizing to move work forward
  • Grounded in data and comfortable using data to uncover opportunities, measure impact and drive decision making, to dig into details and understand the big picture
  • Growth oriented, with the optimistic mindset to continuously learn and improve themselves and the curriculum we offer

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design (or Technology), Curriculum Design, Education, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design or Course/Curriculum Design and Delivery, preferably in adult learning models, working with graphics tools and LMS.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applied learning, organization behavioral sciences or psychology, or people science certification
  • Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective project and time management skills.
  • Strong, clear, and well organized written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong training or presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, active listening, and customer service.
  • Relays concerns externally and internally with timely, fact-based, and constructive feedback.
  • Able to work as a team player and / or individual contributor internally and externally.
  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of teaching and learning processes in corporate or healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
  • Ability to provide course design related to building online courses efficiently with numerous instructors in a professional educational environment.
  • Ability to plan, implement, test and troubleshoot education technology applications.
  • Ability to author technical documentation in paper, online, and video formats for the use of educational technology.
