PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT MANAGER
Halff has an immediate opening in our San Antonio, TX office for a Professional Civil/Environmental Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in a combination of municipal roadway, drainage, detention, and water/wastewater utility design. Land Development design experience with projects requiring large public and private infrastructure improvements is a PLUS.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The position will be for a Project Manager interested in managing design and construction for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects. Projects include, yet not limited to, roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, civil site work and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities.
PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITES
  • This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects for the Public Works practice.
  • A successful candidate will be able to manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.

PROJECT MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in municipal roadway, drainage, and water/wastewater utilities design
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer
  • Experience managing and overseeing the design and plan production from beginning through completion
  • Experience managing construction projects and/or contractor-related communication and coordination a PLUS
  • Ability to manage and have direct interactions with clients in the private and public sectors
  • Ability to supervise technical staff and foster their professional development
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
  • Ability to develop scope, budgets, and proposals a PLUS
