Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine accounting documents for proper accounting classification and authorization.
Enter and process data into various accounts and the general ledger and resolving any differences.
Prepare monthly trial balances and financial reports.
Analyze financial data from domestic and/or foreign business firms.
Work independently or in a team environment to research problems and provide responses to requests.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/auditing
At least 4 years of experience performing accounting and/or financial statement auditing within the Federal Government environment.
Knowledge and experience in working with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Higher education accounting experience
Effective communication skills verbally and in writing
Ability to establish effective working relationships.

Ability to establish and maintain records.
Ability to exercise good judgment.
Ability to maintain professionalism in adverse conditions.
Ability to read various forms, procedures, regulations and similar materials.

Knowledge of Accounting practices and procedures
Experience with separation of duties requirements and best practices.
Experience with Navy ERP.
