Administrative Assistant (Grant Funded) - Central Campus

FUNCTION: Assists the Project Director with all administrative activities of the NSF BRICCS TX Grant
Essential Duties:
  • Assist Leader(s) with all office management functions.
  • Ensures website/OER TX is updated and maintained as per leader's directions.
  • Assures quality and timely scheduling of monthly meetings via Zoom as well as the 3 in-person workshops.
  • Implements ant security procedures for equipment, materials and supplies as necessary.
  • Provide administrative assistance and support to committee chairs, including recording minutes and attendance
  • Creates requisitions in the Banner Accounting System for supplies, travel, and all other expenses for approval by the leader.
  • File and maintain all office records. Shred documents after required holding period.
Additional Job Functions:
  • Manages leader's P-card purchases, receipts and reports.
  • Assists with other project staff and participants, as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and advises Leader of status.

  • Ability to work in a variety of environments - individual office space; cubicle; open space
Required Education:
  • High School diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
  • Associate's Degree
Required Experience:
  • Two years of office, clerical or administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Preferred Experience:
  • Above requirement including one or more years in a higher education environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Grant-funded positions are contingent on the continuation and the availability of grant funds.

Note: The duties of this position require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location during unrestricted operations with very limited or no opportunity for remote work arrangements.

Salary Grade: 103

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
