This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Coordinated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists and engineers, you will provide support to keep manufacturing operations efficient and accurate. Responsibilities:

  • Forecast need of materials and parts used for engine maintenance.
  • Track and accelerate progression of work orders from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain manufacturing work instructions to clearly define manufacturing process.
  • Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and detail as-built configuration of major production hardware.
  • Lead producibility assessments for part or product designs.
  • Provides mentorship to the development, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents and schedules at an organizational level.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • HS/GED/Equivalent required. Associate Degree or equivalent experience or trade school in related subject area and/or 5+ years of manufacturing experience, or production experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Formal training in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or lean methods.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and supply to a culture of inclusion.
  • Proficient blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 / ASME Y14.100-2017 standard.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experienced technical knowledge in one or more subject areas
  • Ability to lead independent contributors and lead a cross functional team.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Proficient with various Manufacturing & CAD Software (i.e. SAP, CATIA, CREO, etc.)
