Job Description

TheTerminal Supervisor will be a critical part of theDallas and Fort Worth Terminals, reporting to the Lone Star Complex Manager and will be part of the LSC Leadership Team. The Terminal Superintendent is responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation of the Dallas and Fort Worth terminals. You will oversee the planning and execution of all operations activities such as pipeline receipts, product quality, truck loading, managing product inventory and facility measurement loss/gains. This position has direct accountability for the overall facility performance as it relates to regulatory compliance, HSSE, product quality and financial and operational excellence. The facilities currently have a combined product throughput of about 70,000 BPD and operates 24/7 365 days a year. This includes the direct supervision of 9 Terminal Operators. The job has requirements for 24-hour on call availability with the need to work nights and weekends on a periodic basis.

  • Provide day-to-day management of all operating personnel and contractors within the terminals.
  • The operation of the terminals must be in accordance with Global Partners policy and in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Must continually demonstrate a personal commitment to and possess a thorough understanding of all company EHS policies and procedures and how to apply them to terminal operations, including both company and contract personnel.
  • Understand and maintain personal and group compliance with all corporate and HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day measurement and monthly loss/gain performance.
  • Manage/resolve product quality issues and concerns.
  • Manage employee work schedules with a focus on operational reliability and cost control.
  • Strong customer focuses both externally and internally, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with a focus on meeting the Lone Star Complex goals and be able to hold yourself and your team accountable for achieving the desired performance.
  • Assure completion of all direct reports required training and operator recurring activities.
  • Support development, maintenance, and implementation of all local operating procedures.
  • Manage employee development of direct reports.
  • Ensure that all worksite equipment is properly maintained to achieve optimum availability, reliability, and asset integrity.
  • Interface with project group on local project scope, design, and implementation with a focus on minimizing customer impact and ensuring successful project safety and integration into a 24/7 operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in terminal operations.
  • Must be good at problem solving/offering solutions and able to multi-task.
  • Must have a great attitude, flexible, adaptable, and highly motivated.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to participate and promote team building across the Complex.

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS

  • Previous experience with Terminal Automation activities.
  • Mechanical and project experience.
  • Process Safety Management Experience

Education Requirement

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
