Description

The Marketing and Communications Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives across the MADD organization. This position will provide strategic marketing consultation and guidance to various internal clients. The strategist will be responsible for day-to-day operations to build, execute, measure, and monitor marketing and communication strategies, tactics and plans to support MADD's mission, strategic plan, and fundraising objectives. Significant marketing experience and a deep knowledge of project management is required for success.

This is a remote, work from home position.

Requirements

  • Partner across teams to manage, coordinate, and implement marketing, communication, advertising, and other campaign activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide marketing consultation and innovative solutions that reflect modern marketing and communication practices; bring these solutions to life through flawless campaign execution.
  • Build creative briefs that support campaigns across various channels including the website, video/photo, social media, print/direct mail advertising, PR, internal communications, and more.
  • Help MADD build consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels.
  • Help facilitate effective internal and external communications that align with each campaign and/or project you lead.
  • Collaborate with partners to uncover impactful and relevant stories about MADD and its mission to end impaired driving.
  • As needed, work with marketing leadership to create and disseminate internal newsletters, updates, and announcements.
  • Work alongside the Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing and Brand to build processes and procedures to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reinforce project management best practices and always seek to improve how the marketing team functions within the organization.
  • Work with marketing leadership to develop annual planning and prioritization to position our department for success in the years to come.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Marketing or Communications
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in marketing, and marketing communications with project management responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external partners to move forward the mission of MADD.
  • Able to manage several concurrent projects and tasks; possess a holistic understanding of marketing and communication.
  • Demonstrated experience writing briefs and leading complex projects from concept to implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working within a project management platform
  • Ability to lead project proactively; communicate timelines and manage deadlines independently.
