About the role

Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.

Our Team works closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. We work in both the Windows and Mainframe environments.

What you will be doing

  • Demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry.
  • Experience with VB Script and Visual Studio
  • Provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
  • Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
  • Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
  • Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Analyze requirements and translates business requirements into product designs.
  • Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation.
  • Suggest technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.
  • Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations.
  • Conduct planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.
  • May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals.
  • Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.

What you bring

  • Proficiency in document composition software. CSF Designer and Open.
  • OpenText Exstream are preferred.
  • Front end design tools
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.)
  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.
  • Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $57,750.00 - $94,120.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
