Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused, problem-solving, Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our collaborative and innovative team. This position will be located in our Raleigh, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Lexington, SC, or North Charleston, SC office.
Responsibilities include assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; coordinating with multiple utility owners, NCDOT, SCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies; preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects; preparing design computations and quantity estimates; developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Civil engineering internship
- AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software experience
- Utility coordination/ relocation design experience
- Municipal/Water Resources engineering experience
- EIT certification or passed exam with the ability to obtain after graduation
