Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION
HCSC is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Corporate Travel team! This position is responsible for arranging and supporting travel and related needs for employees that may include the Senior Leadership Team, members of the Corporate and Affiliate Boards of Directors, and other executives as directed, following HCSC's travel policy and guidelines. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service and may also participate in the review of travel vendor contracts as directed, and participates in reviews and development of corporate travel policies and strategies as needed. This position requires a flexible schedule and may include evening and weekend hours.

NOTE: this role is hybrid/flex and requires three days in the office, working from home two. Relocation will NOT be offered, sponsorship is NOT available ~

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years of travel consultant experience arranging domestic and international corporate, personal and group travel.
  • Skills and experience in handling VIP travel arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of travel industry applications and ability to leverage this understanding to maximize end user experience and cost benefit to the corporation.
  • Advanced Sabre skills and strong GDS experience.
  • Ability to interact with executive leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of airline terminology, codes, fare basis, rules tariffs, resources and industry contacts.
  • Knowledge of travel industry and pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge and skills to participate in contract negotiation with industry suppliers.
  • Relationship building skills, both internally at HCSC and externally with suppliers.
  • Ability to function independently in a fast pace, extremely demanding environment exercising discretion and good judgment.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation.
  • IATAN travel license.
  • Corporate Travel experience, not leisure travel background
