Description

The Sr. Director, Marketing & Sales Operations is responsible for leading sales operations and marketing within Accuity. The Accuity marketing team includes one (or more) direct reports along with a group of marketing contractors and/or vendor relationships. This individual will be responsible for working closely with the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) regarding the use of the annual marketing budget. The Sr. Director, Marketing & Sales Operations is expected to be both an individual contributor and a leader of our marketing resources, which includes but is not limited to the ongoing development and execution of strategic sales operations and the strategic marketing plan(s).


The Sr. Director, Marketing & Sales Operations has a proven track record as a thought leader in healthcare, ideally with HIM and revenue cycle experience. They will collaborate closely with the CGO and Sales team to ensure effective use of Salesforce, contributing to the qualified sales pipeline and assisting in developing and implementing winning sales strategies.

In addition, this role is responsible for managing not only the day-to-day marketing activities but also for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans under the direction of the CGO. This role leads the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration with the marketing team and across the organization.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership responsibilities:

  • Market analysis and competitive insights
  • Marketing strategy and Accuity product messaging strategy
  • High-level campaign & content focus and messaging strategy tied to the above
  • Management of marketing resources (internal resources and external contractors/vendors)

Primary Sales Operations focus (individual contributor):

  • Growth performance metrics ownership
  • Forecast owner and monthly/quarterly forecast meeting facilitation
  • Manage and distribute materials and resources for effective forecasting meetings


  • Active prospect management and pipeline advancement to include:
  • Next client touchpoint, presentation (deck) review and approvals, coordination of resources
  • Procurement document needs review and ownership over deadlines
  • Communication to key non-buyer resources with potential clients


  • Strategic account review facilitation and notes management
  • Flag risks and potential delays to leadership
  • HMA summary account reviews management


  • Executive connection event owner
  • Plan and coordinate from event selection to execution at the event and follow-up
  • Prepare and manage the tradeshow growth team strategy including attendees


  • Business development strategy and execution
  • Review marketing activity data and follow up on MQLs (qualified leads)
  • Targeted new client outreach and follow-up program
  • Lead generation (LGC) program management with assigned sales members to grow and sustain engagement on future opportunities


  • Sales support and growth efforts to include but not be limited to the following:
  • Sales team training coordination and facilitation
  • Provide support during the onboarding of new sales resources and lead their training
  • Salesforce primary administration
  • Work with the CGO on sales process improvement and implement changes through the sales team
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership based on business needs

Primary Marketing Leadership responsibilities:

  • Lead and work with assigned internal Accuity team members on the following:
  • Marketing strategy and execution inclusive of performance metrics development, monitoring and feedback
  • Overall marketing project management to ensure smooth execution on strategy and other assigned goals
  • Tradeshow and other events preparation and execution (booth setup, collateral, signage, videos, lead generation and retrieval, pre/post show outreach, etc.)
  • Digital marketing strategy and execution to include website lead capture, social media, content marketing, etc.
  • HubSpot and other marketing tools management


  • Sales collateral development such as client presentations, flyers, etc.
  • Paid media and sponsorships owner to include selection and execution (Beckers/ACDIS/AHIMA)
  • Content development lead with freelance writer support to develop a strategy around published case studies, blogs, white papers, videos, public relations and other media pitches
  • Internal and external communications support and development



Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Journalist, PR, Marketing, Communications) required
  • Advanced Degree in relevant field (Journalism, PR, Marketing, Communications) preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years marketing experience
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategy and plans
  • Experience planning and executing trade shows
  • Experience working with healthcare associations and related paid trade publications
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools, preferably HubSpot and Salesforce

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical, multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment, including MS Word, Excel and PPT
  • Independent, focused individual able to work remotely or on-site
