Position Title: Enterprise Data Architect
Position Summary:
The Enterprise Data Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data landscape. The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade data solutions that leverage the power of SQL Server, Azure Cloud, and Snowflake. A trusted advisor to stakeholders, the Enterprise Data Architect collaborates closely with business leaders, developers, and IT teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and drives informed decision-making across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done; include supervision or management responsibilities, quality and quantity standards, physical, mental, and perceptual functions of the job)
Designs, develops, and implements enterprise data architectures that meet business needs and complies with data governance standards. Leads the migration of on-premises data to Azure Cloud, including SQL Server databases and data warehouses. Designs and implements data lakes and data warehouses using Snowflake, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. Develops and maintains data pipelines and Extract Transform Load/Extract Load Transform (ETL/ELT) processes for data integration and transformation. Defines data models, schemas, and security protocols to ensure data integrity and access control. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions. Monitors and optimizes data platform performance, identifies, and troubleshoots data quality issues. Stays abreast of the latest data engineering trends and technologies and applies them as appropriate and in alignment with enterprise data strategy.
