The Marketing and Business Development Specialist will cultivate relationships within a designated territory to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives. The primary focus is the generation of new account revenue through the identification and development of qualified leads by developing a deep understanding of customer needs. Job Functions:
Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned
Identify and capture new business opportunities and develop new relationships with prospective clients to expand sales revenue and market share within assigned territory
Conduct cold calls, face-to-face visits and presentations with clients and prospects in specific market segments
Develop intelligence and background information on prospects, in order to develop targeted presentations which address the prospective clients needs
Track all customers, prospects, opportunities and all sales activity into CRM system
Develop an understanding of competitors products and actions to promote a competitive edge
Provide follow-up to clients to ensure satisfaction with the Companys products and services provided
Identify and capture market/client trends and communicate findings to management
Track and report weekly sales activities to management following established guidelines
Continuously improve knowledge of roofing industry by keeping abreast of changes in the market
Participate in sales meetings and training and engage in local and regional associations as warranted.
Maintain active involvement with local organizations such as BOMA and IREM and participating in networking events with them.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
3 5 years experience
Demonstrated success in sales, a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results
Knowledge and ability to communicate the Companys strengths and value propositions as the preferred provider of roof solutions
Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone
Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust
Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
Problem solving ability so that appropriate solutions can be offered to meet clients needs
Comfortable with using computer systems to track data, including strong analytical abilities to assess data collected
Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the clients and Tectas organization.
