Essential Functions

• Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.

• Research, write and edit compelling content for news and feature stories, brochures, marketing collateral and other communication materials relevant to the TSTC mission.

• Serve as the liaison between the local news agencies and respective campuses, staff the news media representatives when they are present on our campuses, staff the TSTC subject matter expert (SME) during media interviews. Serve as SME for media training for your campus faculty and staff. Serve as media spokesperson for your respective campus, if necessary.

• In partnership with the Digital Communication team, create, monitor and respond to communications on various social media communication channels - photos, video and written content

• Seek out TSTC technology SMEs, industry technology SMEs, and alums to highlight TSTC's education and training impact in vocational, industrial or technology specific publications.

• Serve as TSTC Emergency Notification Messaging point of contact once or more times a year. Serve as communication support for on campus crisis/emergencies.

• Collaborate and contribute to the overall communication, marketing and advertising strategy, when assigned.

• Attend and provide input/feedback during regularly scheduled department, division and campus meetings in support of the TSTC mission.

• Other duties as assigned.
