Who we are looking for:

VML is seeking a copywriter with a strong background in email marketing, social and online advertising. They are responsible for generating and developing concepts and ideas that meet and exceed the requirements of the brief. With a proven ability to translate marketing strategy into compelling creative concepts, the copywriter ensures that client's goals are met when developing and executing ideas. They participate in all aspects of a project from concept development through preparing copy deliverables in all channels, ensuring that the work is consistent with a brand's voice and tone.

You are a strong conceptual thinker with solid copy skills with the ability to understand and digest complex creative briefs. You push the boundaries of creative excellence and ensure the delivery of required results.

VML handles multiple areas for this tech account. This role we are looking to fill will work on the mid to lower-funnel transactional work for the account. This spans across two teams: Demand Conversion and Lifecycle Marketing.

The Demand Conversion team typically concepts and executes major sale events for the client, such as Black Friday, Back to School Sale, etc. The Lifecycle Marketing team creates deliverables for all communications to their customers, such as retention campaigns, order communications, etc. Both of these teams work across three audience segments-consumer, small business and Alienware.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate | Partners with the art director to create compelling email marketing, social and OA campaigns that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Drive Creativity | Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital advertising.
  • Translate | Work with the internal team to think beyond the brief and deliver added-value ideas the client may not have thought of.
  • Craft | Ensure all copy aligns with client brand guidelines and tone of voice.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an agency environment.
  • Portfolio featuring a wide range of creative work.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to deliver a point-of-view about the work.
  • Meticulous and detailed oriented.
  • Tech industry background is a plus.
