Position Details

As a Credit Analyst -- Mortgage Warehouse, you are responsible for efficient and effective credit and risk assessment under established First Bank guidelines. Strong detail towards financial analysis, credit recommendations, and ongoing portfolio maintenance. This position is based in Plano, Texas, office.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze and underwrite new loan opportunities within the assigned portfolio, utilizing market research, internal loan information, client data, and third-party market research
  • Track upcoming maturities, obtain necessary financial information, and underwrite annual loan renewals
  • Responsible for approvals of modifications such as bulge provisions, sublimits, terms, and pricing
  • Continuous monitoring and review of existing portfolio to ensure compliance with covenants
  • Ensures tracking mechanisms are kept up-to-date and in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Ensures that asset quality remains strong within the assigned portfolio
  • Responsible for ensuring financial statements are spread and analyzed, addressing industry risks, monitoring collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitoring credit performance and completing loan presentations.
  • Assists with collection and filing of periodic financial statement requirements
  • Handles reporting on loans such as past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, risk grades, etc.
  • Assists with other projects as necessary to promote efficiency
What Do You Need for this Position?

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of commercial credit experience
  • 2+ years of portfolio management experience
  • Strong financial analysis skills, ability to analyze, decipher, and make observations/recommendations based on a variety of information received
  • Good analytical skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software product and Salesforce
