Key objectives

The Juniper Professional Services team provides strategic solution design, integration, and deployment services to our customers. Acting as trusted advisors, we are passionate about enabling our clients towards an efficient and optimized deployment of network services for performance, scalability, resiliency, and security. Our team members bring forth effective technical and communication skills to operate in a consultative manner and develop strong customer relationships.

Members of our Security sub-team will be more focused around technologies oriented toward the Service Provider and Enterprise markets. Yet as we appreciate talent with diverse skills there will be opportunities to work elsewhere in areas such as Cloud Ready Data Center, Core+Edge, SDN and Automation. Those having initiative to learn more, stretch your knowhow, and demonstrate additional capabilities will find broader sets of project opportunities available.

Key responsibilities include following, but not limited to:

  • Uses professional knowledge to provide consultative services around all phases of network development from planning and design to testing, validation, implementation, migration, operation, and optimization.
  • Provides domain expertise for implementing Juniper Networks products and solutions with strong emphasis on the Juniper Security Portfolio.
  • Uses professional knowledge to provide consultative services around all phases of network development from planning and design to testing, validation, implementation, migration, operation, and optimization.
  • Learns continuously to keep up with the ever-evolving changes in the technology arena and expands their realm of experience across the Juniper product portfolios.
  • Works well in teams as well as independently.
  • Manages their schedule to deliver multiple projects concurrently when needed.
  • Understands that PS delivery involves maintenance windows for production environments and requires the schedule flexibility to sometimes work nights, weekends, or holidays.
  • Travels occasionally (up to 50%) to perform requirements gatherings, workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and on-site implementation work when needed.

Skill specifications

The candidate is encouraged to have a deep understanding of Network Security in Service Provider and Enterprise environments.

Reasonable expertise on many of the following will be prerequisites for success: BGP, VPN, IPSEC, SSL, MAC-Sec, UTM, IDP, NAT.

Knowledge and experience of technologies such as MPLS, OSPF, Encryption technologies, Traffic engineering, QoS, DC switching, TCP-IP, IPv4, IPv6, is a plus.

Amiable communication, interpersonal and social skills will be required. Prior Professional Services or Consulting experience is highly desirable!

Direct experience with Juniper products will enable your journey to productivity faster:

  • Juniper SRX firewalls
  • Juniper SkyATP, End Point Security and APT detection, protection and mitigation technologies
  • Junos Space and/or Junos Security Director
  • Juniper Secure Analytics (JSA) and/or IBM QRadar
  • Juniper Session Smart Router (SSR),
  • Juniper Networks/Netscreen ScreenOS Firewalls.
  • Juniper Mist AI, Wireless, Wired, and WAN Assurance,
  • Juniper QFX/EX Series Switches,
  • Juniper MX/ACX/PTX Series Routers

Other desirable skills and experience to help broaden your horizons include:

  • Application Firewall and User Identity based firewalls
  • DDOS protection and mitigation technologies
  • Linux Operating Systems and Networking
  • Cloud, Virtualization, Hypervisor, and Orchestration (RHOSP, RHOCP, KVM, VMware)
  • Containers and Orchestration (Docker, K8S, Openshift)
  • Scripting and Automation in Python, Ansible, Ruby, Javascript

Qualification and Experience:

We generally prefer candidates with at least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

7+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and solving technical problems of Enterprises WiFi, WANs and Data Centers.

Juniper product certifications (JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) or industry equivalent are helpful.

The position is ideally targeted for those in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex or as an alternative be within the Central and Eastern US with proximity to a major airport.

Minimum Salary: $118,976.00

Maximum Salary:$171,028.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $118,976.00 and $171,028.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
