Summary:

The role of the Contract Manager supports, manages, and administers contracts for research services across Cook Children's Health Care System ("CCHCS"). This position is responsible for managing the process for new contracts from the intake process through execution, including Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Data Use Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements and other research-related agreements. This includes confirmation of scientific and business requirements, managing amendments through the Research Administration team members. In addition, this individual ensures common legal language for Cook is addressed in the contract. This role also reviews upcoming contract renewals and ensures the appropriate management team members evaluate the current product, pricing and agreement. Ensures terminations are sent timely to appropriate software, hardware or service provider.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Master's Degree preferred.

  • Excellent contract management skills are essential.

  • Knowledge of contract regulations and laws.

  • At least three (3) years related work experience preferred.

  • At least Two (2) years of experience in a health care environment preferred.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of personal computer applications and software packages; proficiency in SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and other electronic document management systems is required.

  • Strong familiarity and technical competence with contract management software and/or applicable automated systems.

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
