Job Description
Capital Management Specialist
The Capital Management Specialist role is involved in the preparation of the Capital-related sections of Comerica's annual Capital Plan, as well as materials for the Capital Management Committee ("CMC") and works to learn the Capital Planning Model.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Prepares analysis and presentation materials for the Comerica Incorporated Board of Directors, the Comerica Bank Board of Directors, executive committees, and regulators as needed.
  • Assist senior analyst with forecasting current and future position of Parent Company Cash and Bank Dividend capacity; monitors daily cash.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management.
  • Peer Analysis.
Capital Forecasting Model
  • Assist senior analyst with model as needed with the eventual goal being to learn the model.
    Capital Plan & Stress Test, and Related Presentation Materials
  • Responsible for transfer of information from capital model to reporting platform (Workiva) for the annual capital plan.
  • Prepares supporting materials and analysis for the annual capital plan.
  • Produce specific materials for presentations to CMC, Comerica's Board, and regulators.
BOLI/COLI
  • Interfaces with Accounting, HR, and third-party administrators (e.g., Newport Group) regarding BOLI/COLI matters to ensure good execution and proper accounting of the death claims process and other matters.
  • Prepare presentation materials for ALCO and Board updates.
  • Maintains BOLI/COLI records, as needed.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance discipline or similar
  • 2 years of relevant experience with capital forecasting, regulatory reporting, Bank financial analysis or Bank FP&A
  • 2 years of experience in banking or financial services
  • Strong Excel skills; proficient with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of S&P Global Markets Intelligence, Workiva, Workday, and other applications or ability to learn quickly
