JOB SUMMARY

The Investor Relations Analyst will work closely with multiple groups and will report to the Manager of Investor Relations. The position will be expected to support initiatives with the investment community, assist in ideation, analysis, and development of investor materials, manage the Coterra website, and support the Sustainability team with the development of ESG materials and messaging.


Job requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and execution of Coterra's investor relations program and strategy
  • Support the quarterly earnings process - assisting in the preparation and delivery of Coterra's message through the development of conference call materials, scripts, press releases, quarterly reports, presentations, and other financial information
  • Research, compile and analyze financial and operational data for both internal and external projects and presentations
  • Partner and collaborate cross-functionally within the Coterra organization; helping to gather information related to quarterly financial performance and ensuring alignment and accuracy of figures and narrative presented in IR materials
  • Monitor industry and peer trends and communicate to internal teams and management
  • Support the planning, logistics, and execution of key investor events such as shareholder meetings, conferences, and NDRs
  • Assist in preparing reference materials for executive officers participating in investor meetings or conferences
  • Maintain database of interactions with investment community (investors, analysts, etc.) and convey sentiments and feedback to management
  • Maintain the corporate and investor websites and ensure updates are posted timely and accurately
  • Compare and analyze consensus projections relative to internal projections; also track ratings, price targets and other relevant financial and operational data
  • Partner with legal and corporate communications to ensure all external communications are accurate, consistent with corporate messaging, and aligned with securities regulations
  • Work closely with Sustainability team to assist in the Company's ESG efforts
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed by leadership.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor necessary to communicate company performance and strategy with the investment community
  • Ability to maintain relationships and communicate with a wide range of partners both internally and externally
  • Demonstrate creativity needed for developing interesting and relevant analysis, content, and messaging
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, FactSet, Bloomberg
  • Organized, proactive, goal-oriented, ability to meet deadlines and follow up on assignments with minimal direction
  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information
  • Use initiative and independent judgment


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or similar


YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Years of Experience Range: 0-5 years; preferably with investment banking, sell-side, or investor relations experience; industry experience preferred


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Percent of Travel Required: 20% - 40%; Travel may be required for mandatory meetings or training.
