Within our dynamic and collaborative environment, the Downstream Marketing team plays a significant role in making the Downstream vision a reality and has broad exposure to various aspects of the business.

AsVP, Global Marketing Downstream, you will support Ecolab's industry-leading, Global Downstream organization with a primary focus on driving growth in the fast-paced refining market.You will drive our global Downstream strategy via leading a diverse team, and partnering closely with executive leaders across multiple functions within the division. With a keen ability to blend strong business acumen with a technical skillset, you will develop and execute on the strategy to deliver on the outcomes that drive profitable business growth. Getting results will require assessing resources, mitigating any capability gaps, and partnering with our sales, RD&E and finance to align on our strategy.

You will have responsibility for all segments of Downstream; Refining, Fuels and Feedstocks, Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) and Water.Ecolab is an industry leader and this role will build on the vision to extend that position. As a leader of the team, you will play a key role in serving as an anchor to the division's value proposition and growth strategy and be essential in continuing to differentiate our offerings.

Reporting to the Global GM, this role requires a seasoned business leader who can manage at both a strategic and tactical level and will interface with executive management and across functions to set and help drive commercial activation strategies.

What You Will Do:

Create and execute plans which fuel robust growth and profitability. This includes developing and implementing strategies for:

  • Innovation

  • Pricing

  • Portfolio optimization

  • Cost Savings

  • Digital

  • Demand Generation

  • Develop in-depth market knowledge and remain current on trends in the Downstream space as well as with industrial water treatment.

  • An understanding of the industry transformation to low carbon solutions and competitive landscape

  • The ability to communicate how Ecolab's solutions and customer experience are differentiated in the market

  • Work with commercial teams to develop strategies for managing profitability through supply chain, plant production, distribution, group purchasing organizations, and industry partners.

  • Drive alignment with leadership on resourcingand budgeting

  • Plan and develop personnel for succession of self, team

  • Build, manage and develop a global and diverse marketing team that can work independently and as a team to deliver against strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a business-related field

  • Technical degree in the chemistry or chemical engineering.

  • 10 years professional sales and/or marketing experience in the industrial sector

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and carbon capture methodology

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Experience working with direct and non-direct sales models (distribution, group purchasing organizations, OEM industry partners)

  • Experience creating and delivering customer-facing presentations, with visibility to top executives

  • Ability to travel 10-25% based on need

  • Ability to communicate a sense of vision and mission, motivating and inspiring direct and cross-functional teams to achieve their highest potential

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and navigate matrix organizations to achieve business results

  • Strong strategic thinking

  • Strong business acumen and P&L management

  • Highly entrepreneurial and committed to solving big problems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment

  • MBA with 8 years professional sales and marketing experience in the industrial sector

  • Experience working with a global team, including understanding reporting challenges, process management and change management

  • Experience working in or directly supporting a field sales organization
