We are seeking a dedicated Campus Dietitian with a specialization in sports nutrition to join our food service team at Chartwells Higher Education. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Baylor Athletics Performance Nutrition Dietitians and department staff to develop and implement nutrition programs designed to optimize performance, enhance recovery, and promote overall health for student-athletes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the chef/location manager and Baylor Performance Nutrition RDs to develop menus for the athletics dining hall (Beauchamp Athletics Nutrition Center-BANC)
- Provide individual student-athlete education and plate coaching at the BANC
- Provide group education opportunities for student-athletes (cooking classes, grocery store tours, food demos, etc)
- Provide education and in-services for BANC staff on pertinent topics such as food safety
- Assist with management of BANC daily operations and student-athlete meal plans
- Management of inventory for Baylor Athletics fueling stations
- Serve as primary communication liaison between Baylor Athletics staff and Chartwell's staff
- Assist with supervision of dietetic interns and undergraduate students receiving course credit for practicum hours.
- Management of software needs supporting performance nutrition goals for student-athletes (e.g., RedCard, Notemeal, etc)
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) required.
- Previous experience working with athletes in a sports nutrition in a campus setting.
- Strong understanding of the nutritional needs and requirements of athletes across various sports and teams.
- Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to optimally educate and empower athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary leadership environment.
- Passion for sports and a dedication to helping athletes achieve their full potential through nutrition.
