Lendlease manages one of the largest portfolios as part of the US Department of Defense's Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI), a program that provides for the transfer of military housing assets to private sector companies. JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the field leadership team overseeing ongoing renovation, repair, and upgrade Development projects of nearly 800 homes at Fort Cavazos installation. Will help direct planning, coordinating, and executing the work safely, on time, and within budget.

In accordance with the Lend Lease Incident and Injury Free (IIF) Vision, this position is also responsible for demonstrating the IIF Vision in all aspects of their work as well as helping to hold their colleagues accountable for safe outcomes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work anticipated to be performed. It is not a complete list of all that may be required.

  • Thorough review and understanding of the Site Plans and Specifications and all related documents, including Subcontractor's scope of work and contract.
  • Implement and enforce the Quality Control Plan, Testing Plan, Inspection Plan, Environmental Protection Plan, Best Management Plan/Practices, the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, and the Lendlease Standard Performance Guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain close internal cooperation and support with the company production staff to the greatest extent possible without sacrificing the primary objective of assuring that the work is correct.
  • Attend Weekly QC and production Meetings.
  • Witness, log, and attest to all tests and validations as related to site/building construction.
  • Prepare weekly reports.
  • Enforce safety, environmental regulations, base regulations, historical regulations and other applicable local and state regulations on all project jobsites.
  • Conduct 3 phase inspections for each definable feature of work as directed by Development team.
  • Coordinate final inspection and acceptance of the completed buildings and site and develop a "contractor's punch list" of items that do not conform to approved plans, specifications, and performance guidelines.
  • Investigate, report and prepare recommendations on unresolved design deficiencies.
  • Conduct mandatory inspection of all definable features of work and hold point inspections in conjunction with the contractors Superintendents.
  • Perform other work/inspections as required and as directed by the Development team.
  • Maintain original and duplicate inspection cards. These inspection cards will be kept in plastic jackets affixed to a sheltered exterior wall. Enter status of all testing, inspections and re-inspections onto the inspection card, which will remain with the designated building until all mandatory inspections are completed and have been signed off by the QC staff.
  • Document deficient work discovered and immediately have superintendent stop all work which would prevent the deficient work from being observed or would impede the correction of the deficiency. If a work cannot be corrected by the end of the workday, the deficiency will be reported to the Development Managers and will be recorded in the rework items log. Coordinate work stoppages with the Development team.
  • Be responsible for inspecting all stored materials for contract compliance and to insure they are adequately protected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires construction field experience, preferably in the role of a Quality Assurance Superintendent.
  • Share in the company's unwavering commitment to being Incident and Injury Free. Completion of OSHA Ten-Hour Safety Course preferred.
  • Proven competence and proficiency of the position's above mentioned essential responsibilities on multiple assignments.
  • Knowledge of applicable ICC, local buildings codes, and OSHA requirements, GMR, AMR
  • Excellent ability to lead and communicate to people both internal and external to the company
  • Proficiency in PC-based programs including scheduling, spreadsheets and databases. Will also need to have sufficient computer literacy to write and file daily reports and to work within Project Web.
  • Four-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum, (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) or experience equivalent to a four-year degree. (Preferred but not required)
