Summary / Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Manager to lead our API integrations and microservices team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the development and management of our real-time API ecosystem and microservices architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of systems and services, enabling our company to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Microservices Architecture: design and implementation of a scalable and resilient microservices architecture that supports our applications and services in collaboration with the broader Architecture team.
• API Integration Management: Oversee the integration of APIs from external partners and vendors, ensuring security, reliability, and performance.
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of IT professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive excellence.
• Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in API development, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure successful implementation.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with API providers and technology vendors to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of APIs and microservices, including data protection, authentication, and authorization.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues related to API integrations and microservices.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in API development and microservices architecture.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of API security, RESTful principles, and API documentation.
• Proven experience in Mulesoft and Azure API Technologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies and serverless architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Relevant certifications in Mulesoft and Azure desired.
