Position Overview

GLG's Events Specialist leverages GLG's core asset - the GLG Network - to participate in small and midsize group meetings, roundtables and seminars, both remote and in person, as well as virtual events including webcasts and teleconferences with clients and GLG Network Members. This position will focus on client outreach, the development and programming of multiple meetings around select industry segments, which will vary by need, and will connect the industry's most notable experts with business and investment leaders throughout the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client outreach management for all event types
    • Conduct daily client outreach
    • Assist with user targeting efforts
    • Client-facing, customer service expertise including effective and professional oral and written communication
  • Facilitation of multiple events related projects, including but not limited to:
    • Assisting with content for event materials, including promotional and descriptive copy
    • Researching and suggesting alternative GLG Network Members for ongoing project requests based on content needs
  • Operational & logistical management of multiple meetings and events, including but not limited to:
    • Strategic scheduling of meetings around set of industries or products (i.e., conferences)
    • Key support in workflow development and back up to events managers
    • Budget and financial management, with emphasis on project-based profitability and ROI.

Required Skills

Potential candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree, equivalent experience, or certification(s) in related industry
  • Ideally, 2+ years of sales experience or recruiting experienced where you are focused on outreach is preferred
  • Across all positions, we insist upon excellence, integrity, creativity, and high-level of professionalism
  • Preferred experience including:
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively including managing multiple meetings and events at one time
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Strong written and oral communication skills including basic copy-editing
    • Successful track record of working in a team environment
    • Proven ability to work in a rigorous, fast-moving work environment while being adaptable to changes in work scope
    • Drives results while striving for consistency and process compliance
    • High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (including Excel and Word) and other database and technology tools are required

Working Environment: Flexible / Hybrid working arrangements typically requiring 2 days per week in office.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$46,300-$56,500 USD
