Overview

Our company is searching for an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our Pflugerville, Texas team. We are looking for an individual who will Assist in planning, organizing and implementing the Cash Construction Company Safety Program at construction projects while ensuring compliance with federal, state and corporate environmental, health and safety regulations. Essential Duties: - Spend 80% of time in the field, auditing job sites for compliance with Cash Construction Company*s safety policy. Communicate findings to Cash Construction Company management. - Provide safety leadership creating enthusiasm and participation among all employees including subcontractors, resulting in excellent safety performance - Participate in the Safety Committee meetings as required and monitor results for presentation to others on our job sites - Attend the weekly tailgate safety meeting, with various crews within the company. Communicate with management as to the effectiveness of our topics and what we are doing in the field - Maintain jobsite first aid and emergency response supplies as needed - Input and review incident reports - Conduct a variety of training and or observations as instructed by Safety Director - Identify workplace safety hazards and take all necessary steps to assist site management in corrective action to eliminate or minimize them. Document actions on daily activity report - Implement the Zero Injury System of safety excellence on the projects - Understand and implement safety policies and procedures - Participate in site inspections and testing as necessary - Review safety program documentation, record keeping, and regulatory compliance documentation - Assist in planning and implementing a Hazard Communication Program in compliance with federal, state, and Cash Construction Company policies, SDS file, container labeling, employee training, and subcontractor communications - Present safety emphasis to site employees as identified - Participate in and lead emergency responses - Coordinate and present safety training as directed to Cash Construction employees including, documentation and presentation

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of construction experience, managing safety or a related field and have demonstrated the ability to provide a high level of safety leadership to both management and craft workers
  • A high school diploma or GED is required

Preferred

  • Bachelors Degree in Safety or related field
  • Read and write in Spanish
  • Possess OSHA Construction 30-hour card and/or OSHA General Industry 30-hour card
  • BCSP certifications such as CHST Construction Health and Safety Technician
