Job Description

The Warehouse Associate II's primary responsibility is to work closely with Fulfillment Center Supervisor(s) ensuring all inbound and outbound required documentation and standards are met, in addition to picking and loading product for outgoing delivery. In this role, you will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, and move inventory to designated loading areas, and support receiving efforts as needed. You must comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. To ensure your success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate a forklift or other material handling equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Works with supervisors and management team to ensure that goals and deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Processes continuous dock flow including container, cross dock, LTL shipments, returns and stocking.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed & enter data in oracle system
  • Review physical pallets and load trailers. Moves material from receiving stage to trailers.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Performs physical cycle counts and provides inventory validation and verification of data as directed by Inventory Supervisor.
  • Receives inventory or material, processes the given information and returns merchandise to stock or plant.
  • Transacts material movements in the ERP system.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles and performs trailer inspections.
  • Reads customer delivery pick order, determines items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Drives forklift (reach truck, Order Picker, Turret Truck, Sit Down) to Pick/Pack and transport items.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, bins according to predetermined sequence (i.e., Size, type, style, color, or product code).
  • Uses a computer/ RF scanner to enter records and record data.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Stages material in proper area as designated by pick order ticket.
  • Responsible for processing shipping documentation (McAllen specific).
  • Reconcile carrier discrepancies (McAllen specific).
  • Create carrier call log and arrange pickups (McAllen specific).
  • Purchase Orders (McAllen specific).
  • File incoming trailer report daily (McAllen specific).
  • Other duties assigned.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred one year experience driver Forklift
  • Preferred two year work experience in a production or warehouse environment
  • Certified forklift driver (stand up/sit down) or willing to learn, as needed
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English
  • Preferred experience with import/export, distribution & logistics experience
  • Strong MS Office & computer skills; Experience on Oracle or Other MRP System
  • Experience in Receiving is a plus. Verification of Raw Materials as per Packing list from Vendor
  • Strong data entry, attention to detail, basic math and organization skills
  • Visual quality Inspection
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Excellent Communication Skills- both verbal and written
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Willing to work at heights of 25 feet or more while secured by a harness

Language: English (Spanish/English) a plus

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position is done in a Warehouse environment typically indoors but may require access to outdoors for work at times. This position requires the ability to drive a forklift: Reach Truck, Order Picker and/or Turret Truck. This position requires the ability to work at heights of 25 feet or more secured by a harness. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist; see, hear, and talk; use fingers and hands, handle or feel controls or product; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product. Frequently lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. is required. This position also requires a person to handle different temperatures as the Warehouse is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter.
