ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Parts Runner role has been put in place to ensure inventory is properly picked-up and/or dropped off in a timely manner, as well as processed to fill any requirements for aircraft and/or stations. Besides aircraft related material, this position is responsible for stock rooms, offices, and warehouses to be maintained. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Pickup and drop off parts to various vendors and airlines
  • Perform shipping duties, including hazmat and counter-to-counter
  • Retrieve and load company material (COMAT) from aircrafts
  • Escort vehicles on and off the AOA
  • Load and unload large freight from trucks
  • Load and retrieve Fly Away Kit (FAK) parts to/from the FAK
  • Process unserviceable parts
  • Issue parts to Maintenance
  • Fuel Stores vehicles
  • Ensure the security of the warehouse and its contents at ALL times
  • Safeguard the security of company premises
  • Ensure proper storage and upkeep of inventory and warehouse facilities
  • Demonstrate competency with all aspects of TRAX inventory management system as pertains to job description
  • Fill out time sheets on a weekly basis
  • Be available to be on-call outside business hours on occasion

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Computer proficiency (Windows, Excel, Word, Internet)
  • ESD Training desired - Company will train
  • Hazmat experience desired - Company will train
  • Forklift certification desired - Company will train, but prefer prior experience
  • Able to obtain (with in first 90 days of employment) and maintain SIDA access (Airport authority provided)
  • Possess valid state driver's license with clear MVR
  • Heavy lifting of 50 lbs and over
  • Ability to pull and operate trailers and other various equipment
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Shipping experience preferred
