Designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure on land requires accurate environmental, geotechnical, and geophysical data. Through leading acquisition techniques, coupled with our expertise, testing, and world-class laboratory facilities we can help clients to successfully manage risks associated with construction projects.

Senior Staff Engineer performs geotechnical work around the process of acquiring, analyzing, engineering, and interpreting complete and high-quality geotechnical data to provide accurate and customized services to clients. This individual will provide geotechnical advice in one or a small number of specialized technical disciplines and develop solutions for clients by putting acquired geotechnical data into context.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the completion of projects and other operational tasks.
  • Logging of soil borings and test pits.
  • Coordinate soil exploration programs.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Coordinate the execution of small projects or part of a project of moderate complexity.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering reports.
  • Use prescribed methods to perform engineering analysis.
  • Execute work duties in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Maintain close relationships with clients throughout the project and beyond.

Job Requirements:

  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions
  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required, a Ph.D. is preferred
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering, including experience with acquiring, interpreting, and analyzing geodata and performing engineering calculations.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas is required
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Present information and ideas and respond to questions clearly and concisely.
  • Understand advanced technical requirements and current data acquisition procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer operations, including Microsoft Office and other engineering programs
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport, possible international travel/assignments may be required
