Job Description

NALCO Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Mechanic to join the Logistics Maintenance team inSugar Land, TXYou'll be responsible for providing maintenance on our fleet crew delivery equipment. As a mechanic, you will safely perform maintenance on all delivery vehicles and perform field repairs as needed. In addition, you will maintain all maintenance records, and assist in any emergency situations as the mechanical knowledge on the team.

What You Will Do:

  • Servicing all types of delivery trucks or vehicles
  • Inspect all vehicles every 90 days.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all delivery vehicles
  • Perform field repairs as needed
  • Maintain Ecolab policy inspection maintenance records
  • Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
  • Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
  • Assist in any emergency situation that may need mechanical knowledge

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Minimum high school graduate or GED
  • Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years)
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic, and chassis systems
  • Have certifications in brake, CVSA, and A/C systems
  • Knowledge of use of diagnostic software DAVIE
  • Experience working on hydraulic pumps and PTO
  • Awareness ofchemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill
  • Have own hand tools
  • Not Required: Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidate resides
