We are currently seeking an OEM Compressor Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Farmers Branch, TX, as part of the Component Solutions Engineering Team.

LG Electronics is looking to hire a technical sales engineer for the HVACR industry, specifically for light-to-medium tonnage Commercial compressor applications. This position will perform project management between LG and OEM manufacturers, managing communications between R&D teams. He or She needs to promote business growth through best technical support to customers and target to make long-term working relationships with them.

What you will do* Always search for optimal component pairings for HVAC OEM customers.* Assist OEM customers in identifying and qualifying compressor opportunities.* Provide technical or process support to OEM customers during qualification and reliability activities for LG products.* Assist as needed in developing the customer business case for new concept solutions.* Manage project timelines and deliverables from the viewpoint of new compressor applications.* Utilize specialized functional expertise as a sales engineer and individual project team leader. Requiring a high degree of technical competence in specific functional areas, capable of assessing design/application risks of large projects.* Perform detailed engineering analysis to quantify cost savings or other customer benefits.* Provide or review detailed mechanical and electrical drawings specific to each project.* Develop submittals/presentations including Performance Information, Component List, Mechanical and Process and Instrumentation Drawings, Vendor Component Information, & Project Milestone Information.* Interfaces with vendors and factory engineering for critical analysis.* Participate in trade show or exhibition in connection with LG business.* Occasional Domestic and/or International Travel

To be successful you will need:* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a related field as appropriate.* 5+ years of experience in Compressor design/manufacture related with residential or commercial Air Conditioner or Heat Pump Products* Member of ASHRAE, IDEA and function- specific licenses or certifications preferred.* Possess strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage tasks associated with development of projects.* Fully competent in analysis and assessment of mechanical and electronic systems. Effectively leading in team settings.* Good written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working in customer-facing situations, fluent in English.* Strong basic computer skills, including an understanding of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.* Ability to Travel approximately 10%, both Domestic and Internationally (OEM manufacturing sites, and Korea HQ).* Experience in rating large tonnage Commercial AC Solutions is preferred.Base Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,000 Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.This base pay range is based on US national averages.
