Job Title: Manager, Fleet Production & Service

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Manufacturing and Procurement - LTI

Reports to: Director, Manufacturing and Procurement

Flex Work Eligible! This position qualifies for the Flexible Work Policy. Employees receive 50 work days annually to work remote! The initial amount of days is prorated for the first year based on start date.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

The role of Manager, Fleet Production and Services is to oversee the safety, planning, and execution of daily functions within the fleet production and maintenance streams. This position ensures cross-functional collaboration between engineering and supply chain to ensure on-time, accurate, and quality fleet track equipment builds. Provide best in class services to fleet operation plays a strategic role in its support activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Leadership

  • Provide visionary leadership to all components of production
  • Influence sustained improvement in the manufacturing process according to approved methods and quality standards
  • Create an operational culture of empowerment, accountability, and collaboration
  • Strategic planning in support of fleet operations business growth and output diversity

Operational Excellence

  • Proactively influence and monitor safety measures through all phases of the manufacturing operation
  • Ensure a system of industry-leading safety protocols are in place, continually improved and sustained.
  • Ensure adequate linkage between supply and demand of resources to fulfill operational business needs
  • Assist in the planning and support of continuous improvement focused on safety, cost, capacity, and accuracy.
  • Manage the communication of all forecasting, planning, and execution within the fleet CIP manufacturing and maintenance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate degree in production or maintenance-related fields. Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience: 8-10+ years managing maintenance, field operations, and/or build shops

Licenses/Certifications: Obtain and maintain Railroad Certifications as required. Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
