Field Services Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Field Services Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with company men and field personnel, preparing field kits for mobilization, overseeing equipment, coordinating logistics, handling documentation, and providing support for wellsite operations. This role involves 24/7 on-call availability as required to provide immediate wellsite support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with company men, wellsite personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare field kits for mobilization, ensuring all equipment is functional and outfitted for specific jobs.
  • Oversee field equipment and order necessary parts for specific well-site work, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Create commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading (BOL) for shipments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics, including equipment, personnel, and transportation arrangements, to ensure timely and smooth operations at wellsite locations.
  • Provide all relevant financial information to the administrative team for invoicing purposes.
  • Handle sourcing supplies and address supply chain issues to ensure uninterrupted operations at wellsite locations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Pulling Out of Hole (POOH) schedules required for specific well-site work.
  • Ensure that all field kits are checked by well-site personnel assigned to the job and obtain sign-off on kit readiness before leaving for the wellsite.
  • Assist with obtaining specific certifications for well-site work, including international, domestic, and Gulf of Mexico (GOM) certifications, such as BOSIET, UKOOA, H2S, Passports, Work Visa's, NSTC, ISN Cards, Safe Land - Safe Gulf, etc.
  • Conduct debrief sessions with well-site technicians after work is completed to gather feedback, capture lessons learned, and support research and development efforts.
  • Provide support to all Core Lab locations for well-site work if necessary.
  • Provide guidance to service technicians regarding the refurbishment of field equipment, ensuring its readiness for field use.
  • Perform other support duties as defined by the Wellsite Manager to meet operational requirements.
  • On-Call Support: Be available on-call 24/7 to provide immediate support for wellsite services as required.
  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent required and 5+ years of related field experience.

Proficiency in three or more of the specialized areas mentioned below:

  • CoreSta Epoxy Stabilization
  • WellSite Gamma and Wellsite Gamma Plus
  • Wellsite Core Processing
  • Mud Tracer services
  • CoreFreeze stabilization
  • Field Ticket generation
  • Commercial Invoice and/or Bill of Lading
  • Previous experience in wellsite operations and core processing, preferably in a team lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and have an enthusiastic approach.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of core handling, preparation, and processing techniques.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide technical support in a field environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Demonstrates high level of dedication.
  • Ability to perform under strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and thorough understanding of HSE policies and regulations.
  • Familiarity with wellsite equipment maintenance and general vehicle maintenance.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with both client and company personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, sometimes in challenging weather conditions to perform job duties to completion.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and core samples, up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling and manipulating core samples and equipment.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for safety purposes.
