Job Description

Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Manage Efficiency Projects database Collaborate with efficiency team on projects for Onsites.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Efficiency project database (GOAL & GYM)

  • Keep project data current in both the above files and Project folders

  • Lead zone efforts to collaborate with the newly formed LI Efficiency team to develop and share best practices across the entity. Visit facilities throughout the zone to identify new/existing efficiency projects; ensure projects are entered into the database. Manage/Adjust action items for LI Onsites Zone; report progress to management

  • Chair/lead zone Efficiency Field Leadership team meeting; generate and distribute meeting notes

  • Lead monthly efficiency meetings to report findings to management. Be a point of contact and LI Onsites Zone Champion for the SIO initiative

  • Maintain and optimize zone KPI screens including SPEC+ and plant KPIs

  • Assist plant managers in resolution of technical and operational issues; also be involved in execution of major TAR activities and efficiency projects at plants. Could been ask to support plant activity during strong workload period,

  • Support Engineering Manager with ALLEX rotation responsibilities, providing relevant projects for that rotation period Develop scenarios, cost estimates and economic justifications to facilitate decision-making process at plant/zone levels Expenditure (ACE) requests; follow-up on approval process

  • Prepare the financing documentations for project proposal to AEP/CPR committee

____________________Are you a MATCH?

  • BS in Engineering required (Chemical or Mechanical discipline preferred)

  • Minimum 3+ years of operational or engineering experience

  • Solution-oriented; excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Technical expertise in operation and maintenance of Air Separation Units

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform under stress and time constraints

  • Comfortable in both corporate and field environments

  • Has full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time (1 to 15 days), with little advance warning

  • Must be reachable 24/7
