Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking a Materials Handling Technician to work for our client in Galveston, TX. In this role, you will perform basic clerical and manual tasks involved in the verification, receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment (medical & non-medical).

Responsibilities/Duties:

* Ensures accuracy of the inventory within designated warehouse, storeroom(s), and supply room(s).

* Prepares and assists in cycle count verifications and annual inventory.

* Processes incoming supplies and equipment and monitors the quality assurance inspections of all items received by ensuring the receipts are checked for missing items, damaged items, expired items and/or wrong items and reports all discrepancies.

* Responsible for the proper storage of supplies for stock.

* Fills customer request / order for stocked materials and supplies.

* Provides customers service support by assisting customers, answering phones, and processing requests.

* Operate standard materials handling equipment this may include forklift, pallet jack, etc.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.

* Two (2) years of experience in supply, distribution, and/or receiving preferred, but not required.

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Proficient in the use of a computer, both desktop and handheld.

* Valid driver's license required.

Physical Demands:

* Manual dexterity and memory are important for this role.

* Lift up to 63 lbs from floor to knuckle and 50 lbs knuckle to shoulder.

* Frequent bending, standing, and walking.
